MoU Signing: UNISMA Malang, Indonesia and PSU Phuket Campus, Thailand

UNISMA Malang, Indonesia has strengthened its partnership with Prince of Songkla Univerity Phuket Campus Thailand. Several programs have been running to implement the collaboration programs such as: lecturer exchange, the establishment of Indonesian Center, summer camp program, students exchange, and joint seminar and conferences since 2016.

OIA UNISMA Malang welcomes any international higher education institutions to foster collaboration in the area of education, research and community service.

Summer Program: UNISMA Malang, Indonesia and Prince of Songkla University Phuket Campus, Thailand

Students from the Faculty of International Studies (FIS), Prince of Songkla University (PSU) Phuket Campus, Thailand came to the University of Islam Malang (UNISMA Malang) to learn Indonesian language and culture, through Summer Camp Program. This event was organized by the Office of International Affairs (OIA) UNISMA Malang. The program run for two months from May-June.

The students learned Indonesian traditional dance, gamelan (traditional instrument of Indonesia), and batik. To explore some tourist destinations in Indonesia, especially Malang, the participants joint some out-bond programs. They went to down town of Malang City and Batu City (Alun-alun), Kusumaagro, Wisata Tugu (monument), and modern shopping center. They visited ‘Antique’, House Batik and Kebaya, which is located in Pekalongan Street, Malang City. Students also enjoyed the magnificence of Bromo Mountain, the tourism icon of East Java. As the final destination of this program, they had trip to Bali Island, the Island of paradise.

In addition to learn Indonesian language from the classroom, students also participated in a home stay program, staying with an Indonesian family. The tutors of the Indonesian class were from Foreign Language Development Center (P2BA) UNISMA, Faculty of Engineer (FT), Faculty of Economy (FE), Faculty of Agriculture (FAPERTA), Faculty of Animal Husbandry (FAPET), Medical Faculty (FK), and Faculty of Teaching and Training (FKIP).

In 2016, 27 students from FIS PSU Phuket Campus Thailand joint this summer camp program. The program was closed by the performance of Indonesian traditional dance, gamelan, and campur sari from FIS PSU Phuket Campus Students. Rector of UNISMA Malang, Prof. Dr. Maskuri, M. Si, and the Head of International Office, Hj. Novi Arfarita, SP., MP.,M.Sc.,Ph.D. gave the speech during the ceremony of the program. (kaff,nil).

Call for Papers 2020: International Conference on University Administration in Technology Development Era, Dong Nai Technology University Vietnam

Dong Nai Technology University is coordinating with other universities including National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (Taiwan), Hung Vuong University (Phu Tho Province, Vietnam), Hanoi University of Mining and Geology, Dong A University, Thu Dau Mot University, Institute of Social Sciences of Central Highlands and Vintech City Company of Vingroup to hold an international scientific conference on October 3rd, 2020 at Dong Nai Technology University, with the main theme: “University Administration in Technology Development Era” (UATD 2020).

The Conference Organizing Committee would like to invite researchers and professors to be authors for the approved topics.

  1. General theoretical issues about university administration.
  2. University management with the current autonomy of Vietnamese universities.
  3. Issues for university administration in Vietnam in terms of international integration.
  4. Experience in university management in Vietnam and in the World.
  5. University management solutions in the age of technology development
  • Papers and abstracts should be sent before June 30th, 2020.
  • Paper length should be within 8-12 A4 pages, in Vietnamese or English
  • Font name is Time New Roman, Unicode coding and font size is 14
  • The high-evaluated papers will be edited and published in the ISSN Science journals of co-organized universities.
